Long Run Replication - A Beginners Guide To Long Run Replication

What is long run replication exactly? Well long run replication refers to when you want to make more than 500 copies of a CD or DVD disc. The material on the CD can be any kind of audio material or software if it is a CDROM you are having replicated. If it is a DVD you are getting replicated, then it can have a mixture of audio as well as video on it and will need to be prepared to be viewable on DVD players with menus and graphics which is a process called DVD authoring which is explained in our Beginners Guide To DVD Authoring. Whether it is a CD or DVD you are replicating, you will need to have a glass master produced in order to make your copies with. This will mean that with long run replication there is a set up cost involved which is for producing the glass master.

If you are looking for a company that can provide you with long run replication services, then you will want to view our Duplication Services Directory which lists duplication companies, many of which will be able to offer you long run CD and DVD duplication services.

For those of you that want to produce less than 500 copies of your CD or DVD, then you may want to consider going for   short run duplication which is explained further in our Beginners Guide To Short Run Duplication
