We programmed this quality selection of dance sounds especially for the XG Synth range using its in depth

voice editing facilities i.e. filter cutoff & frequency , envelope generator, reverb,chorus ,variation effects and other parameters.

The XG Layered Dance Sounds Collection Volume 1 contains 154 dance sounds and includes big analogue synths, fat synth basses,

cool dance fx, powerful synth leads, warm strings, interesting synth pads and quality digital synths.

These sounds are available exclusively from Mig Music.

  LAYERED SOUNDS WILL MAKE YOUR XG SOUND EVEN BETTER

Each sound within the collection has been produced by layering two XG parts onto

the same midi channel i.e. midi channel 1 will play a sound which consists of two

XG parts ( parts 1 and 2), midi channel 2 will play a sound consisting of XG

parts 3 and 4 etc... This has enabled us to create more powerful and varied sounds

than the standard voices, making your XG and your music sound even better.

EASY ACCESS TO SOUNDS

The Collection is arranged as 22 soundbanks, each containing 7 new sounds.

Each sound bank has been saved as a midi file . You simply load any one of

these midi "sound bank" files from your sequencer into your XG synth

You then have access to 7 New Dance Sounds on midi channels 1 through to 7

You may find that simply loading a new bank of sounds more convenient than

selecting sounds individually and programming them further before starting on your tune.

LOGICAL ARRANGEMENT OF SOUNDBANKS

Midi Channels 1 to 7 is where your New Dance Sounds are stored

Midi Channel 9 defaults to the standard XG Grand Piano sound

Midi Channel 10 defaults to the standard XG Drum Kit

Midi Channels 8,11,12,13,14,15 and 16 are not allocated a sound.

These XG midi soundbank files contain no musical data .

Each XG soundbank has its own individual effect settings.

FIND THE SOUNDS YOU WANT WITHOUT HAVING TO REMEMBER WHERE THEY ARE

To help you use these sounds with your XG synth, we have given each new sound a descriptive name and

produced a COMPLETE SOUND NAME LIST which lists all 154 sounds held within the XG Layered Dance Sounds Collection.

This handy list will make it easy for you to find your favorite sounds

As well as using the sounds as they are, you can use them as starting points for further sound editing on your XG

MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM SOUND BANKS

Use the sound banks as they are or edit the effects further and select other

XG sounds as you wish to complete your sound set up

A BONUS FOR USERS OF XG EDIT

As well as providing the entire collection in midi file format, we have also provided the

sound banks in a second format called 'xge' which is the native format for XG Edit, an

excellent editor for XG synths produced by Gary Gregson. If you own a copy of this program,

then you can load any of the 'xge' soundbanks directly into it, allowing you to edit the

sounds further using this program.
